Well, this relaunch solves that problem – shaving just about a full millimeter off the height of the watch. That may not seem like a lot, but it is. Of course, we look forward to seeing this watch in the metal to get a sense of just how much slimmer it wears. In many ways, the Black Bay Chrono has touched two extreme ends of the design spectrum and now lands very much in a comfortable center. The first iteration was quite conservative, with little contrast on the dial. The two-tone variant represented a much louder, bolder iteration with steel, gold, and splashes of red.
